Learning disabilities are not barriers — they are differences in how children learn.
At Kshamta, Gujarat’s first dedicated institute for learning disabilities, we help children discover their strengths through early diagnosis, specialized education, and compassionate support.
Kshamta – Institute for Learning Disabilities is a non-profit organization and Gujarat’s first dedicated center for children with learning difficulties.

Learning disability is a hidden challenge that affects 5-15% of school-going children, often leading to academic underachievement that goes unrecognized for years. At Kshamta, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that every child, regardless of their learning profile, possesses unique strengths and the potential for a successful, fulfilling life. We exist to bridge the gap between that potential and the reality they face.

A learning disability is a neurological condition that affects how a person receives, processes, and expresses information. It can impact reading, writing, spelling, or math skills, even though the child may have average or above-average intelligence.
Early signs may include difficulty recognizing letters, slow reading, trouble with spelling, challenges in writing, or problems understanding instructions. A professional assessment by our team — including a developmental pediatrician, psychologist, and special educator — can confirm the diagnosis.
LD can often be identified once a child begins formal schooling (ages 6–7), but early developmental screening can help detect potential issues even earlier. Early identification leads to better outcomes.
We offer a complete range of services — diagnostic assessments, individualized education plans (IEPs), occupational therapy, counseling, and parent guidance — all under one roof.
Learning disabilities are not “curable,” but with the right intervention, strategies, and continuous support, children can learn effectively, gain confidence, and succeed academically and socially.
Parents can encourage reading habits, maintain structured routines, communicate with teachers regularly, and use multi-sensory learning tools. Our team also provides parent counseling and home strategies for daily support.
Yes. Kshamta collaborates with schools to train teachers, provide assessments, and implement inclusive education strategies that help children with learning difficulties thrive in mainstream classrooms.
